Do you really love your work? Would you still do it if you didn’t have to earn money? These two questions equally apply if you work for someone else or work for yourself. Do you look forward to weekends and holidays? If the answer to this is yes then you probably don’t love your work as much as you might think you do.

It’s not called the ‘daily grind’ for nothing. We have been brought up and educated, or miss-educated, to value work primarily as a means to make the money that we need for shelter, food, clothes etc etc, and of course to go to work. But there is another way.

John Williams book Screw Works Lets Play caused me to stop and think, a few years ago, about my  attitudes to work and play. He made a convincing case for exploring what you really love doing and then developing ways to earn money from it. As a self employed artist and graphics designer I had already assumed that I loved what I did. A colleague of his Marianne Cantwell, who published a website, called Free Range Humans spoke of escaping the corporate cage. At first I thought that I wasn’t part of the ‘cage’, corporate or otherwise. It’s not about just going self employed because even self employed people can be in a cage of restrictions just as much as employed people. What is needed is a radical change of attitude.

WorkPlay helps you take a break from business plans, techniques for attracting leads/prospects and all the conventional approaches and focus on what you really want to do with your life, whether or not you think it will make money.

ElectricGhost Music has developed so successfully because I have applied the elements, embedded in WorkPlay courses, in my own creation and development of my own business.

WorkPlay makes use of my extensive experience in personal growth, facilitation and communication skills. I plan to offer Consultancy, Individual sessions, Group workshops, Seminars and Presentations that show how the WorkPlay approach can transform your life and attitude about work.

ElectricGhost Events will run these activities. To find out more please get in touch with Lee Edwards.
